Complicated things made easy.

Entering the building

  1. To enter the building type the code on the metal panel on the right or use one of the colorful badges.
  2. The same badges also unlock the elevator and the staircase door. They are required to descend to the garage
  3. The grey badge is used to access the underground and outdoor parking by car.
  4. NEVER LEAVE THE APARTMENT WITHOUT YOUR KEYS or you may not be able to go back in! There is no interphone.
If you need to share keys with your friends, you can use the same keybox you opened during the arrival.

Underground parking

Underground parking is available for our guests. Places are not marked, so feel free to park wherever you want

  1. Locate the garage gate, which is on the left of the pedestrian entrance
  2. Use the grey badge on the left panel to open the gate and wait until you hear a confirmation sound
  3. Drive inside and take any spot available. Note that some passages can be very narrow
  4. Once parked, follow 'Bâtiment F' signs to enter directly into the building.
  5. ALWAYS USE THE BADGE, even if the gate is open. If you follow another car without using the badge, or resign from entering - the badge will get blocked
  6. Choose '-1' level in the elevator to return to the parking
During the high season, finding a space may be challenging and we cannot guarantee you one, but there are numerous public parkings around, e.g. Grepon or Courmayeur.

The places directly in front of the building are for short stay only.

Outdoor parking

If underground parking is full or unaccessible, you're welcome to use our private outdoor parking space.

  1. Locate the parking entrance, directly at the exit from the roundabout All. Marcel Burnet / Av de Courmayeur
  2. Use the grey badge on the left panel and wait until the barrier opens.
  3. Follow the road and take any spot available. The ones towards the end are the closest to the building.
  4. To access the apartment, continue to the end of the parking and then follow the footpath to the left, passing the restaurant.
  5. Similarly to the underground parking, the badge must be used EVERY SINGLE TIME, even if the barrier is already open. Otherwise you might not be able to leave or enter again.

Device usage manuals

Sofa bed

The sofa has a thick, multi-layered mattress for good sleep quality. It converts easily into a comfortable bed:

  1. Remove the top pillows and pull the highest metal bar all the way out to unfold the sofa.
  2. The blanket on the sofa is already installed; pillows and the duvet are normally in the wardrobe.

We recommend closing the sofa during the day for convenience and closing the outside wooden window shutters to reduce outside light while sleeping.

Dishwasher

It might not be worth to turn it on for a glass or two, but it's the easiest way to get the dishes done. We'll also appreciate if you could run it before you leave

  1. Remove any food leftovers from the dishes
  2. Place the dishes inside the dishwasher paying attention to leave enough space between them
  3. Put the capsule inside the small compartment in the door and close it carefully. You don't need to remove it from the foil as it dissolves in the water
  4. Press the big power button
  5. Now you can select the program with the 'P' button or leave the default one. We recommend R32' as it is fast and effective
  6. If the dishes are not perfectly clean after the process is finished, you may need to clean it by hand or use a different program
  7. Note that the dishwasher and the oven cannot run at the same time

Coffee machine

There are numerous great coffee shops around, but you can also start the day with a coffee without leaving home

  1. First, check if the coffee machine is plugged in and if the switch on the right side is on
  2. Make sure that the water reservoir is not empty. If it is fill with a bit of tap water using a glass
  3. Open the lever at the top and place the coffee capsule inside it. Push it back firmly
  4. Use one of the two green buttons to make a big or small espresso as indicated by the icons
  5. You can press the button again to brew more coffee or stop the process
The capsules can normally be found in the narrow cupboard above the sink, but if we didn't have a chance to refill them - you can buy the capsules in every local shop. Look for the ones compatible with Nespresso.

Stove

The stove in our kitchen is an electrical induction plate. It's easy to use and very fast to clean. Additionally, the stove itself doesn't get hot, so you cannot get burned.

  1. With your bare finger touch the power button (I)
  2. Now choose one of the two heating surfaces by touching one of the 'circle' buttons
  3. Use the + and - buttons to set the power in the scale of 1 to 9
  4. You can readjust the power at any time for both of the surfaces independently
  5. Use the power button again to turn off the stove
Please note that the stove works only with the dedicated, induction-enabled pots and pans!

Oven

The best way to get your pizza crunchy or bake a cake

  1. Press the power button on the handle
  2. Switch the mode with the F button, they are the following: light only, bottom heating with air circulation, bottom and top, bottom and top with air circulation, grill, grill with air circulation
  3. Adjust the temperature by clicking the C° button. The temperature light will blink until the oven is heated
  4. To turn it off simply press the power button again
  5. Note that the oven cannot be used at the same time as the dishwasher

Electric heating

The heating system of the apartment is electric so you will need to turn it on once you check-in. There are three radiators in the property: one in the living room, one in the bedroom and a towel one in the bathroom.
The first two are operated in the same way:

  1. To switch radiator on/off use the red button in the middle
  2. Change the mode between using right/left arrows. They come in order: defrost, fixed temperature, eco (lower temperature) and scheduled
  3. Adjust the temperature using up and down arrows if needed.
    NOTE: Increasing the temperature doesn't speed up the heating, give it time to work.
Programmed (scheduled) mode changes the temperature during the day, allowing for better quality sleep and lower energy consumption. To use it, make sure the time is set up correctly — follow the instructions in the video to update it.

The bathroom radiator has a panel at the bottom. Click the red on/off button to turn it on. If needed, change the temperature using up/down arrows.

Bluetooth speaker

The Bluetooth speaker is a great way to listen to your own music loud and in high quality. The connection process is easy

  1. Turn on the speaker by holding the power button (I)
  2. Press and hold the 'Bluetooth' button, until it starts flashing a blue light
  3. Now open the list of available Bluetooth devices on your phone, tablet or laptop
  4. Choose JBL Speaker and confirm pairing
  5. From now on, the speaker will play your music whenever you are around
Make sure to keep it charged - the charger and the cable are available in the cupboard under the TV

Internet & WiFi

Our apartment is equipped with fiber internet, which is generally very fast and among the most reliable connections in the valley. However, during peak hours the connection can still become overloaded due to limited infrastructure in the mountains. To connect to wifi:

  1. Find the WiFi router next to the sofa.
  2. Scan the QR code sticker on the router with your phone. If that doesn't work enter the WiFi password written there.
  3. You can also find the WiFi details, including password, in the Airbnb app.
The WiFi network name (SSID) is Chamonix Central.

TV & Streaming

The TV is connected to a TV box that provides a wide selection of digital channels and streaming apps (such as Netflix, YouTube). Our internet connection is fiber – fast, reliable and among the best available in the valley.

  1. Turn on the TV box with the remote controls.
  2. If needed, use the Source/Input button on the TV remote to ensure it is set to the HDMI input used by the TV box.
  3. Chose one of the apps from the main screen. Please sign in with YOUR OWN accounts, and do not purchase any paid content or subscriptions.
  4. You can also stream from your phone or tablet if it is connected to our WiFi network (e.g. using screen mirroring / casting from compatible apps).
If you just want to watch regular TV channels, select the 'Guide TV' or one of the proposed channels on the main screen.

Microwave

A microwave is the fastest way to heat basically any kind of food or beverages.

  1. Open the microwave and place your food inside. Close the door
  2. Adjust the power with the lower knob - you can adapt it to your preference or to the instruction if provided with the food
  3. Set the time using the bigger knob. It's better to use several shorter intervals than to keep your food too long
  4. The microwave will turn off and notify you when the food is ready
Please do not place any metallic objects inside (aluminium foil, forks, drink cartons) and avoid running the microwave empty.
